my new job is amazing! my coworkers are so lovely and kind, and I’m really enjoying the work i’m doing. i have this great balance of freedom, responsibility, and ability to make a really substantive change in the company. i’m in heaven.
how are you so chill and passive-aggressive about secretly looking into a movement that has not only harassed and attempted to strip the rights of, but also brutally murdered (literally just google trans women killed by women if you want sources) many trans women. i don't agree with the death threats since they're. well. death threats. and you haven't openly supported the terf movement but this isn't looking all that great.
Because radical feminists haven’t brutally murdered trans women. Radical feminists have arguments against certain “rights” we see argued for trans women, but none have to do with what I would consider living a happy, healthy life, as they often are arguments in favor of considering what it means to protect women. As to the harassment, I’m not going to deny trans women receive harrassment on tumblr. I’m not interested in friendship with any women who would do so. I’m cognizant of my mutuals and the people I follow and I don’t believe any of them do that. I have unfollowed, publically and privately, many women who have been misogynistic and nasty and harassed others, but far often than not it was towards lesbians or bi women for one reason or another, or victim blaming or rape apology.
I have NEVER secretly looked into radical feminism. I have openly pursued radical feminism. There are books upon books of women writing about why and how they believe women are oppressed by men, and what it means to liberate them. And none of these books are carbon copies of each other and these women find points of reasonable discussion in which they ultimately disagree. It’s not wrong to read these books.
It is wrong on tumblr to try and argue that biological sex is a social construct, to bully people into believing they are bad people for following or reblogging, even accidentally, “terfs”, and to send anons explaining in gore details fantasies of torturing and killing and then sexually assaulting the person, and that’s happened to me and multiple women I know here. It happened last night! Some said they’ed like to gorge my eyeballs out and then fuck me with them, whatever that means! Have radical feminists (and let’s be real, not really radical feminists but women on tumblr who fancy themselves armchair theorists) ever sent something comparable to that as a form of harrassment? I seriously doubt it.
Don’t bother this person please but I am curious what they wrote can someone send me a screenshot or message me? I can’t see it in the notes.
Nevaeh now wears a scarf to cover several bald spots and her singed
hair. She was left with first-degree burns, but it could have been worse
according to Tanya Robinson, Nevaeh’s mother.
“The doctor told me her hairstyle saved her life,” Tanya recalled. “Had it been different, she might not be here.”
This isn’t the first time Nevaeh has experienced bullying. Two years ago, another student broke her thumb.
I’m walking into that school like
Hate crime. It should qualify as one.
Nevaeh is thirteen years old. This happened at Gompers School in the Philadelphia School District. The school district has not issued any comment, but y'all can make yours:
